The NLC Glow showcase has just had a major update. This section of glow lists groups that teachers across North Lanarkshire are sharing with their peers. You can get a good idea of al lthe different ways that glow is impacting on Teaching & Learning by visiting this glow group.

Although not all schools are in glow yet the rollout of passwords and logins will be finished by the end of this year.

Here are some of the groups that are being shared in the NLC Glow Showcase in Literacy and Numeracy there are many other cross curricular groups that you can visit too.

Functional Writing - St. Brigids PS
P5/6 used this group to upload scans of their writing based on a LearnNewsDesk lesson. Self and Peer assessment comments were added in a discussion board below.

Novel Study - Glencairn Primary School
Examples of CfE target setting, self and peer assessment in an interdisciplinary literacy group.

Interdisciplinary Novel Studies - Auchinloch Primary School
P6/7 have been working on this group to share their learning about Carrie's War and World War 2. It contains lots of ideas for Curriculum for Excellence focused activities.

Primary French - Victoria Primary School
A group for a P7 class to extend their learning of French through interactive websites and discussion boards.

Writing - St Brigids Primary School
A group used by Primary 7 to share their weekly writing and record self and peer assessment comments.

Reading and Storytelling - St. Aidan's Primary
A P2 group with lots of interactive activities to support storytelling and literacy.

Reading (P4/5/6) - Stane Primary School
A group used by a composite P4/5/6 to discuss their reading books. Each reading group can collaborate on their own text and see what the other groups are working on.

Reading (P6/7) - Stane Primary School
P6/7 collaborate on their reading work in this group. There are discussion boards for each text being used and a space for documents to be uploaded.

Reading - Chryston Primary School
P7 in Chryston Primary have made contact with a school in Lewis to bring their novel about living on an island to life. See the discussions shared between the two schools about life on Lewis.

S4 Higher Maths Group - Chryston High School
A group created for S4 to give them access to study notes and a discussion board used for peer support during study time.

P6 Maths - Glencairn Primary School
Shows evidence of active maths, self assessment and children making decision about their own learning.

Maths (P5) - Chryston Primary School
A group for P5 to work on their active maths and access relevant websites to practice new maths concepts.

Used by the children to extend their learning of the maths concepts in class and to interact with one another in discussion boards about maths.
